The cats are here to say there’s really nothing new going on. Scooter is all for being petted while he’s eating, and sometimes he allows petting on the edge of the porch, but he’s still nervous about it. Socks allows petting while he’s eating but if he stops to think about it, he’s quick with a cautionary swat.

Zelda spends much of her time underneath the back steps. Sometimes Socks attempts to ingratiate himself with her with mixed success.

Rossie is mostly residing in the entry hall around the loveseat. She is not fond of Jase. She will come out if I leave her cat treats (not while I’m nearby). Our reclusive cats seem to be more reclusive lately. To refresh your memory, that’s Rossie, Sapphire, Daisy, and to a lesser extent Ruby. All are well. They just don’t want to be bothered by humans.
