Story
I have a generic little story for PBW’s e-Book challenge. I’ve called it Beginnings, because this is the story of how Nikki and Jeff met. It’s important for little reasons. But it doesn’t seem important enough to grab anyone and compel them to read it — or, more importantly, to interest them in reading Threads & Ties.
But maybe, for a first draft, that’s ok. It sits at 2000 words right now, and I’m trying to figure out where to end it. Probably at bedtime — just a day in the life of a first-time kindergartner. Then I’ll have a lot of work to tighten it up and make it presentable for public viewing by the end of the month.
You are way ahead of me. I’m still hoping to get the rough draft (hopefully 5-8k) done later this week. Rush. Rush. Rush.
Good luck.
Oh yeah, and thanks for the tip of using the stock photo. I managed to find one that will work really well in case I can’t get ahold of my artist friend.
Oh, I haven’t finished the rough draft yet either. I have to credit JM Snyder (http://jherusalem.com/) for the stock photo idea. Good luck with yours.
