Spreadsheet Maneuvering
Today was a particularly long day. Yesterday’s work found me feeling as if my brain had been twisted into a pretzel shape. Today was much better, but I wound up doing several extra hours of data gathering. Fortunately, the data is now gathered, and I just have to figure out how to display it in pretty Excel charts on clear, concise, wowing PowerPoint slides. I am neither a PowerPoint whiz, nor an Excel data-convert-it-to-a-chart gal, so I’m not so thrilled. On the brighter side, someone sent me a set of slides around mid-afternoon with charts already perfect for slight modification that will do what I need to do by Friday — get a suitable sample to my boss, so I can can go home on leave without that task hanging over my head. When I get back, I’ll be able to do any sprucing up he needs in time for him to use them for a meeting he has set up.
Uh, that sounds way too much like what I had to do for College Algebra. I still have nightmares about that class–spreadsheets, matrices, PowerPoint Presentations, and converting data on our calculators into tables and graphs. *shudder* Math’s not really my thing. I go more into English. Anyway, i’m glad you seem to be getting things done!
Powerpoint and Excel hurt my brain. It was hard enough conquering Word in doing a manuscript.
