Saturday Stuff
Quite appropriately, Saturday has rolled around again. I mowed the backyard as well as the front this week. Front yard mowing kept it in check. The backyard? Well, small dachshunds were beginning to disappear. I had to put a stop to that.
Poor Notre Dame embarrassed itself again today on the football field.
Did you see that Spartan player hit the Badger player? If you were watching, you don’t have to ask, “What hit?” you know. The Wisconsin player caught a pass and was immediately hammered by a Michigan State player, and the Wisconsin player dropped like a ragdoll and bounced. After the Wisconsin player got up and ran off the field, everyone was saying how tough the guy was. Tough isn’t the word for it. Try “Damned lucky” or “blessed.” Either way, my Badgers held on for the win.
Ohio State – Minnesota is in progress now. It’s looking good so far, but Minnesota doesn’t feel like being Northwestern this week, so they’re giving some resistance.
With some pleasure, I note Texas A&M won and Texas lost. All is right with the world in Texas this week.
Here in Alabama, Alabama surrendered to Florida State, and Auburn is skunking Florida. It’s nearly half-time, so that could change. So far, so good here.
For FlyLady this week, I sifted through the dresser drawers, and there’s more room in them now. I’m still plugging away reading non-fiction. I’m still not seeing major revision work that needs to be done with Twilight. I’m going to need to start thinking about alpha readers soon. I’ll need one for content and one to tell me how badly I’ve screwed up my internet security — and hopefully offer suggestions for fixes.
Well, I’m not sure if it was for Flylady, but I did clean my freezer and worked on cleaning my fridge.
And Oklahoma State University won so things are good in my world.
I’ve never really edited anyone else’s work, but I am a good reader! Just in case you need me, I’d be honored to read your book.
Go, Tech! Freezers and fridges are something I find difficult to do, so I’m cheering for you.
And Oklahoma lost, so that was a plus, too, wasn’t it?
I’ll keep you in mind for the book. Thanks for offering.
I hate throwing away food. Even if it’s out-of-date. Even if it’s something I couldn’t see myself eating unless I was trapped in a siege and all the rats had already been devoured.
Actually I cheer for OU except they play Okahoma State. They are, after all, an Oklahoma team.
You’re welcome.
