Day 16: Technology
Today’s challenge is technology. I have plenty of that, but I have a new piece, just received this morning and installed this afternoon (yesterday by the time you’re seeing this).
Do you see what it is? Maybe not. Look what’s perched on top of the monitor. It’s a Logitech C910 HD webcam. I have no idea what I’ll do with it. I never talk to anyone. It does have a 10 megapixel still camera capability, which may be useful at various times. The blue light about the camera lens (Carl Zeiss, for those into such things) tells you the camera is on. I dropped the viewfinder down to show you a stunning shot of my keyboard. The blue light on the keyboard indicates it’s in QWERTY mode and not DVORAK. I have done a terrible job of forcing myself to learn DVORAK. You’ll note Odie’s nose to the right of the monitor. He was my sister Debbie’s stuffed toy, and he watches over me while I work. I have one other stuffed toy of hers, but that one watches over me elsewhere.
I had hoped it might work with my Chronicles app, but so far, that’s not the case. Maybe after I restart the computer? We’ll see.
Here’s a closeup view of just the camera (it’s off):
