Photo: Perspective
I was taking photos of the fig tree and the peach tree, but what I got was an interesting study in perspective.
From this perspective, it looks like I’m uphill from the house, but the land is level. I’m perplexed as to why the back porch looks like it’s sagging — I don’t believe it is in reality.
The fig tree is in the foreground. It’s recovering nicely from me leaving it alone for two weeks in July. The peach tree is on the next green patch. We call this area the “triangle,” and we haven’t expanded our watering program to include it, except for the trees.
The pile of gravel? Waiting for us to get the driveway curbs installed and finish leveling the drive prior to bricking. This has been on hubby’s to do list for a couple of years but has been superseded by numerous other items.
The pecan tree behind the gravel pile is doing pretty well. I trimmed the low-hanging branch on the left shortly after I took this photo. I can now walk near the tree without the branch slapping me in the shoulder.
But that angle on the back porch? That’s perplexing. Must be perspective.
