Photo: Rain Puddles
It’s been a cold, dismal, rainy, glorious week here in Central Texas. I’m sure I’m wrong to enjoy the dreariness and rain, but I do. Here’s a photo of the rain along our north foundation skirt (the house is pier and beam construction about three feet above ground level).
We have sandy soil, and it’s saturated at this point. Once the rain stops, everything will soak in quickly. This is good. It’s not going to do a lot to alleviate our drought, but it doesn’t hurt.
