K is for Ralph and Kacoo’s
We decided to plan the Grand Tour so we could celebrate my husband’s birthday in New Orleans. Naturally, this means we celebrated at his favorite restaurant, Ralph and Kacoo’s in the French Quarter. But we didn’t. Ralph and Kacoo’s in the French Quarter closed. Some development company bought the building to develop into high end condos.
Since Ralph and Kacoo’s was closed and we hadn’t found a more interesting restaurant to celebrate Mr. L’s birthday, it was easy to decide to cancel the New Orleans leg of the trip when the train was canceled.

I’ve never been to New Orleans but if I ever visit, I’m going to have to check that place out!

Don’t go to New Orleans looking for it, Stephanie. Restaurants are still open in Bossier City, LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Mobile, AL; and Lufkin, TX.
Louisiana is one of the few states I have yet to visit. Been to all the surrounding states, but not Louisiana.
