Photo: Figs
In an effort to spare you even more cat photos, today, I offer fresh figs.
The first crop from my cutting made from our San Antonio fig tree and planted at the Central TX house.

Very artistic photo. Pretty.
I only ever ate figs once, in bootcamp, Parris Island. They were canned. I was starving. Literally. A lot of us were suffering from malnutrition, so they were feeding us up. I don’t remember how they tasted. Didn’t look so good. USMC food is not very good in general. It was always a treat to stop over at a USAF base and visit the mess hall. I remember you had milk and eggs that had never been in powder form. 🙂
I’m impressed that you got the cutting to root and grow. Good work.
