Thankfully, we have cats on the cat tower. They use it. I’ve seen Daphne the most regularly, but Tarzan is snoozing with her yesterday. Ajax is a regular. It’s been a worthwhile purchase. See the string hanging underneath Daphne’s perch? I gave that the bird that had been attached to it a day at most, but it lasted nearly a month. Daphne attacked it regularly, too.

Cats: New Year Update
Here’s the update you’ve been awaiting. The cats are ready for 2016. Ajax, our lanky, old man, will turn ten this year. He rules the house with a surprisingly iron paw. Lady and Tarzan turn six at the end of September. Hard to believe they were born in the parlor … Continue reading →
Fresh Start
I’m looking for a fresh start for my web presence. For a long time, I reserved several domain names, tried to blog in different areas for different interests, but I’ve been feeling drawn to consolidating my interests in one area. It’s not quite as bad as you may think. I … Continue reading →
MGR Tour: 2015 Conclusions
It’s time to look back on the year and assess what I’d planned to accomplish and what actually happened with those plans. I know this is going to be a wild ride, so hang onto your handrails, and let’s get going. I’m going to work counter to typical roller coaster … Continue reading →
Cats: Exam Time
We had a busy week for veterinary preventive care this week. Daphne, Ruby, Rossie, and Delta all visited Dr. Valerie for exams and shots. Delta and Rossie got bladder ultrasounds. Delta’s looked clear, but we gave her a “just in case” shot, and Rossie had some cloudiness, so she got … Continue reading →
Photo: Outside Cat Update
The outside cats have been giving me some good camera shots. Let’s see if I can find any to share. Walter is still a gorgeous, majestic kitty. Sneaky is confident. This is her territory, and she makes sure others know it as needed. Boomer has been visiting regularly: And Junior … Continue reading →
Cats: Rossie Update
Rossie has been more interested in interacting this week. I think she’s standing up for herself with Lady. Unfortunately, Lady and her still can’t get through the night peacefully, so Lady has been spending her nights in her private room. Daphne joins her sometimes. If Rossie weren’t so loud when … Continue reading →
Cats: Still Loving it in San Antonio
I am a little tired of camping out in San Antonio, but the cats seem to like it. There was some kind of kerfuffle around three this morning. I’m certain it involved Rossie. Either Lady or Daphne were the likely other culprits, so both spent the rest of the night … Continue reading →
MGR Tour: 2015 Favorites
Welcome back for November’s edition of the Merry Go Round Blog Tour. This month, we’re talking about our across the spectrum favorites from 2015. I believe I’ve fallen behind in documenting my reading both on the page here and on Goodreads. For nonfiction books, my top two were: Total Knee … Continue reading →
Cats: Cozy in San Antonio
All the indoor cats are in San Antonio where the house is smaller, they can enjoy the garden window (each of them loves it, and we have up to six cats crammed into the window at any given time, but the more usual number is two to four), and for … Continue reading →
