Beware the Ides of March — 4 Comments

  1. Thanks for sharing that, Jean. I’m sure you still miss your sister and wish she could have lived to grow up. I’m glad you have found happiness in the life you now have; I know there are ups and downs (there always are). Hugs.

  2. Bravo.

That sounds like a tough road to have travelled. I’m glad you made it this far and hope it’s easier going from here on out. (I also am not fool enough to tempt “Worse”. I learned that lesson the hard way!)

Here’s something that a friend pointed out to me once that helped a lot duirng my own low points (to date!):

“The world breaks everyone and afterward many are stronger at the broken places.”
    —Ernest Hemingway

There is always hope, wherever the road leads.

    Later.

  3. Very likely everyone needs to hear this at some point. Some things you never “get over”, nor should you. Relegating your sister to a faded memory would be unfair to both of you. Brava to you for having the courage to keep her close to you for so long.
