Today I may have had my last in-person contact with my old life –  my friend and former co-worker stopped by on her retirement decompression tour, and we shared breakfast, tours of the house and ranch, and general catching up on what we’ve missed for the last month.

I still maintain contact with many of my friends via email and holiday cards, but I don’t see many of them in person, and I have no idea when any of our paths will cross again.  Because of that, today was a treat.
