I was out at the ranch a couple of weeks ago to set up the deer feeder and the game camera. While I was there, I checked on the pond. As expected, the long dry spell we had this summer has taken it’s toll on the pond. It’s a shadow of its spring self.
So odd–and beautiful–to see a pond surrounded by trees. Yes, we could do with some rain. Same thing up here. Predictions are for a colder than usual winter, and it will be harder on the trees if it’s also drier than usual.
ETA: Not to mention the little furry, feathery, and scaly neighbors!
