Tech Stuff: My Artificial Knees — 2 Comments

  1. Hey, Jean–

Physical therapy isn’t supposed to hurt? That stopped me dead in my tracks. Crikey! I remember physical therapy as being extremely painful. Both my surgeon and my physical therapy joint (haha!) were dedicated to athletes, which I was till I got hurt. Then, the folks at the therapy clinic didn’t bother to read the report the surgeon sent to them…Ah, well, anyway, it’s all in the past and there’s no point in being mad at people whose names I can’t remember.

What I came to say was that I’m so glad you are having such an easy recovery. “Easy” and “recovery” being relative. “Recovery” sounds so passive, when it is anything but!

And I was glad to see Boomer still on earth. He looks a mite slim, but then maybe stray cats tend to be that way?

    • PT hurting is old school thinking. Modern thinking is “if it hurts, let’s try it a different way.” I’m so sorry you had such bad experiences.

I made it through the weekend driving the one hour to Giddings, setting up two canopies, setting up the stuff to sell, picking up at the end of the day, putting out the next day, packing up, and tearing down canopies and packing them away this morning. My discomfort was minor and on par with Mr. L’s. Neither of us were overjoyed at our levels of discomfort, but it was within expected limits.

I’m pleased to see Boomer still with us, too. He’s too slim. It may have been wishful thinking, but he seems less slim than he was a month or so ago.
