Photo: Plums

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on June 2, 2014 by JeanMarch 26, 2018

Our neighbors went on vacation yesterday.  Their plum tree is LOADED with ripening plums, so they asked us to pick them as they ripen this week and help ourselves.  I found these this morning, and many more are just about ready. They’re tasty, too.

Cats: Bewildering, As Usual

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 31, 2014 by JeanFebruary 11, 2016

Yes, cats are grounds for constant bewilderment.  I have nothing particularly specific to support this statement this week, but they’re all unique with special personalities and different interactions. Lady and Rossie don’t like one another, but if I hear Rossie screaming, it isn’t necessarily Lady beating up on her anymore.  … Continue reading →

Photo: Double Check

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 26, 2014 by JeanMarch 28, 2023

Last week in San Antonio, I looked out the front storm door one evening and saw this fellow relaxing on the sidewalk. I had to double-check to make sure Floyd was in the house, but of course he was. We’ve seen this guy around. One of our neighbors participates in … Continue reading →

Cats: Rossie Made A Decision

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 24, 2014 by JeanMay 24, 2014

Last Sunday night, around 8:30, Rossie decided to come down the back stairs and spend time in the kitchen with us while we worked on a jigsaw puzzle.  She ate from the food tower, but she spent most of her time on the rug by the back door (which is … Continue reading →

Tech Stuff: Balancing Privacy and Convenience

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 23, 2014 by JeanApril 20, 2025

I saw a Sophos post earlier this week about fitness apps and privacy. You could substitute nearly any type of app into the first part of that statement, because with nearly every app you use, free or paid, some data is collectable about you.  Most apps, unlike a lot of … Continue reading →

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 19, 2014 by JeanMay 19, 2014

Welcome back for another episode of the Merry Go Round Blog Tour. Did your April (Snow) Showers bring May Flowers?  We’re working on that down here in Central Texas. Our tour theme for May is balancing family, work, and life with writing and how we do it. This was easier … Continue reading →

Photo: Innocence and Moose

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 19, 2014 by JeanMarch 28, 2023

Not necessarily the same thing. Here is innocence (at least it looks like it): Here is Moose getting his breakfast (with Sneaky making sure she doesn’t get left out): There’s no leaving Sneaky out when Fancy Feast is involved.

Cats: Going with Moose.

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 17, 2014 by JeanFebruary 11, 2016

A few weeks ago, I posted a pondering about what to call Orange Creamsicle/Mooch.  We decided to go with Mooch, but that’s a pretty unflattering name for a kitty who clearly doesn’t have a home and is just trying to survive, so this week, Mr. L came up with the … Continue reading →

May Property Update

Philosophical Meanderings, Too Posted on May 15, 2014 by JeanFebruary 11, 2016

Here’s what’s happened with property over the last month: San Antonio house: We got the convertible moved to Central Texas — that was the largest item yet to move.  We have a few more bulky items and numerous small items. I began watering.  We have watering restrictions in San Antonio … Continue reading →
